2014 – Tutors: Leif Broderssen & Therese Selberg. As part of a course focusing on specificity and narrative – Småhus is something of a continuation on the 1883 children’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. Here, Pinocchio, his creator Geppetto and their dog Alidoro have settled in Tokyo.

House Pinocchio. Pinocchio struggles with attention deficit disorder and needs peace and quiet for his hard studies with the ultimate goal of becoming human.

Mastro Geppetto, a woodcarver and sober alcoholic, who runs a workshop and a small puppet theatre in the front yard.

Alidoro, the mastiff companion of Pinocchio, who guards the house from the likes of the fox and the cat and stays in the guest house by the street.
